Note From Matt

As we reflect on the enchanting melodies and heartwarming performances at our recent 4th and 5th-grade Winter Concert, we are filled with immense pride and gratitude. The Winter Concert not only showcased the incredible talent of our students but also echoed Burlingame's unwavering dedication to fostering creativity and the arts within our educational community.

This magnificent event was a testament to the collective effort and support of our community. The beautiful harmonies, spirited choruses, and captivating instrumentals were a result of our students' hard work, dedication, and the nurturing environment provided by our educators.

At Roosevelt Elementary, we believe in the transformative power of music and the arts in shaping well-rounded individuals. Our commitment to providing a holistic education that embraces creativity and self-expression is deeply ingrained in our school's ethos. The Winter Concert stands as a testament to the importance of arts education in nurturing our students' imagination, confidence, and teamwork.

It's crucial to acknowledge that such remarkable events are made possible through the collaborative efforts of our community, including the invaluable support of the Burlingame Community for Education (BCE). The BCE Foundation plays a pivotal role in enhancing our educational programs, enabling us to offer diverse opportunities that inspire our students to dream, create, and achieve.

Your continued support is paramount in ensuring the sustainability and growth of these invaluable programs. We invite you to consider contributing to BCE, empowering us to continue nurturing the artistic talents and aspirations of our students. Your donations to BCE directly impact the enhancement of our arts programs, supporting our students' dreams and the realization of their potential.

Let's come together as a community to ensure that the arts remain an integral part of our children's education. Your generosity will not only sustain these programs but will also empower us to dream bigger and reach new heights in nurturing the creativity and artistic abilities of our students.

Once again, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and dedication to fostering a vibrant arts culture at Roosevelt Elementary. Let's continue to inspire, encourage, and uplift our students through the magic of music and the arts.

Spirit Week- Get ready for an exciting week filled with spirit days at Roosevelt Elementary! Monday kicks off with PJ Day—snuggle up in your comfiest pajamas! Tuesday, unleash your creativity with Crazy Hair Day. Wednesday, show your Roosevelt pride with our Colors Day—rock blue and yellow attire! On Thursday, gear up for Sports Day by donning your favorite team's jersey or an old sports uniform. And don't forget, Friday the 22nd is not only Color Day but also a short day before winter break. Let's celebrate and have a fantastic time!

Golden Bell- Congratulations to our outstanding Translation Team on winning the prestigious Golden Bell Award! Your dedication to multilingual inclusivity and community connection is truly commendable. Well done!

Friendly reminder- December 22nd is a special day with a 1:30 PM dismissal for all students. Plan accordingly for an early end to the day. Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season!

It was another great week at Roosevelt.
