Note From Matt

As we head into the break, we have a few important pieces of information for you this week.

Wall Construction- Over the upcoming break, we'll be undergoing construction on the beloved "We Are Roosevelt" wall. To ensure safety, fencing will be installed around the construction area. This shouldn't limit yard access; however, we kindly ask everyone to avoid the construction zone for your safety. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we enhance this important part of our school. Thank you for your understanding.

Tuesday Announcements- From 8:30 to 8:45 am, we invite and encourage parents to join our morning announcements on the yard. Engage with school happenings, upcoming events, and enjoy some light-hearted jokes. It's an excellent chance to connect with other parents, foster community spirit, and be part of our vibrant school environment. Your presence makes a difference—we look forward to sharing these moments with you!

Clothing- Have your children misplaced their jackets, scarves, or sweaters? Swing by our school's Lost and Found, conveniently located next to the Broadway Gate. Check for missing items before they find a new home through donation. Hurry in; unclaimed clothing will soon be donated to those in need.

Report Cards- The 1st Trimester Report Cards will be mailed to your home on December 1st. Please keep an eye on your mailbox for these important documents. If you have any questions or concerns upon receiving the report cards, don't hesitate to reach out to us.

Thanksgiving- Thanksgiving Break. This is a friendly reminder that there will be no school from November 20th to November 24th in observance of Thanksgiving Break. We hope you enjoy a restful and joyful holiday with your loved ones. School will resume on November 27th.

The Peninsula Girls Chorus presents: Carols & Candlelight 2023 all-choir holiday concert

Peninsula Girls Chorus opens our 30th Anniversary season with our 10th annual “Carols and Candlelight” concert, featuring all 6 choir levels lifting their voices in song. The concert opens with all 200+ singers performing “Chants of Faith” by candlelight. This piece weaves together traditional Irish, Medieval, Hebrew, and Islamic texts. Each choir level will sing their own curated set of pieces - both holiday and non-holiday alike - and the concert will end with a rousing rendition of “Up Above My Head”, written by one of our favorite composers, Andrea Ramsey. We can’t wait to welcome our audience to this afternoon full of holiday spirit!
